Bankruptcy

Generally speaking, bankruptcy is a federal courts process designed to help you eliminate certain debt. Through bankruptcy, we can help with credit card debt, car repossessions, harassing phone calls from creditors, lawsuits, judgments and liens. We normally handle bankruptcy cases under either Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. We are a Federal Debt Relief Agency.

CH 7

You can file for debt relief and full discharge of debts under Chapter 7 if your income is less than or equal to the median income for the county you live in. Chapter 7 provides for complete discharge of debts that are not qualified as non-dischargeable under the Bankruptcy Code. Non-dischargeable debts include, but are not limited to, income taxes, maintenance and child support.

CH 13

This payment plan form of bankruptcy is generally used by those with stable incomes who are temporarily in financial trouble and are looking for a way to make payments on their debts while placing a stay, or temporary halt, on any current proceedings against them, such as foreclosure. Chapter 13 is for individuals, or spouses if filing jointly, and is not available to businesses or corporations.
